In this role you will:
- Be in charge of design and build of data centres in Thailand.
- Lead the project development and acquiring strategy resource including but not limited to land, utility, connectivity, government relationship, for projects in Thailand.
- Communicate and provide guidance to Finance & Analysis team during the development and execution of resource capital budgets.
- Coordinate with various teams supporting the data center development and launch in Thailand
- Develop and manage metrics quantifying project resource within Thailand
- Manage relationship with external consultants and internal stakeholders for the project development and construction throughout the entire life cycle.
- Help build and manage the local team in Thailand.
- Build the strong relationship with local authorities to ensure the project approval and delivery.
Basic Qualifications required:
- 8+ years of data center related experience in Thailand, with particular strength in the construction of new data centres.
- Experience with obtaining construction permits and liaising with government and energy agencies on obtaining necessary licences and utilities.
- Experience with fast-track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects.
- 5+ years of experience in conducting business in Thailand.
- Strong understanding of data center site selection requirement and project development/ design and build mechanism.
- Knowledge and experience with large scale power systems.
- Experience in business negotiation with vendors, supplier, consultant and government agency.
- Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated and highly dependable, requiring limited oversight.
- Ability to perform complex business case and data analysis to justify the project scope and present the justification to management in a high-level review.
- Fluent in English and Thai
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to read and interpret data center design related drawings for all disciplines.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering best practices including power, breaker coordination studies and switch gear sequence of operation.
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering systems such as HVAC and air handling.
- Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- Ability to define data center system-level architecture, specify/document performance and equipment requirements, create/communicate conceptual designs, and create/maintain project documentation.
