FPG have long-term contract opportunities if you are a Field Engineer / Site Auditor that can climb towers and masts with experience of the BUILD and CONSTRUCTION of Mobile Wireless 4G / 5G RAN Sites and/or fault-finding / maintenance of Radio / Microwave equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the Belgium market on projects/companies like Telenet / Proximus / Orange / Mwingz / Jacops / Circet / Ericsson / ZTE / LCC / Tech Mahindra etc. Candidates with no experience in Belgium will still be considered.
Essential certifications: GOF4, VCA, Elia AVIL / AVIP or equivalent tower climbing certificate from European Union country might be considered depending on the certification.
This is a great opportunity to hold an important position and if career progression is important to you, this position will help move you into an office-based role as a Construction Manager / Delivery Manager in the future. This is because the experience you will gain from this opportunity will be from assessing our client's telecom partners and the site build quality delivery in the frame of the telecom operator's projects (Swap, New Build or Indoor) for the civil works as for the radio and electrical installations. You will act respecting the high OHS standard of safety specifically when verifying the aerials and climbing on the mast.

Consultant (you) to provide:
- GOF4 certification (for climbing towers & masts), car, fuel and accommodation (if required to relocate) as part of your standard working schedule to be able to commute to Zaventem office / site visits (all these costs are included within the daily fee)
- You shall provide your own mobile phone (Android or IOS based) and own voice and data subscription. Mobile phone shall be capable to take clear pictures to be used for uploading in the databases. Note that Chinese brands are not allowed.
- The person shall be 100% dedicated to this assignment, meaning he shall not have other occupations that are making him not available when needed.
Important Information:
- You shall posses a full set of climbing gear for GOF4 which is periodically checked and recently approved by a certified body. This will be checked when starting the assignment.
- Elia AVIL/AVIP certified is a must / exams can be performed first weeks after the onboarding.
- Army clearance (Astrid) is an advantage.
- Driving license cat B and has own car of van with loading space to carry spare part, to drive to the sites within Belgium territory
- Electrical VCA certified.
- You shall possess own craftsman toolbox to solve issues on the spot
- You shall possess the required measurement instruments required for telecom works, which shall include fiber locater and fiber light detector.
- Working Time: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Verify the site solution application done by our partners and site construction assuring it is in line with the design guide of customer installation guide.
- Responsible for making the inspections visits in the field with partners looking about high quality standard that must be applied under the scope of the respective project and capable to make distinctions with existing deficiencies.
- Verify the radio and electrical installations accuracy according to the AREI rules and installation guides
- Verify aerials parts looking to antenna installation and cables, fibers fixations along the different infrastructure
- Have the right coaching attitude with the partners on site when observing punches and target to raise the global level of quality delivered
- Highlight about any quality/safety work issues.
- Verify the different deliverables related to but not limited to site access, safety, design, Asbuild, …upfront the site audit in order to be efficient on site.
- Understand our partner challenges in the field and search about solution to better improve their efficiency looking to our enablers (eg.: tools) and process clarification/ simplification
- Report on quality delivered by partners to make sure structural issues are tackled / clarified with them for further sites.
Main Detailed Activities:
- Perform on site quality audits with NRO partners to assess site installation is in accordance with the customer design specification and installation guide.
- Secure that audits reports are produced in due time after the site audits in order to respect lead time target objectives.
- Advice on site construction and deliverables quality needed to increase the FTR acceptance
- Advice for punch clearance with the partners and secure that safety rules are respected
- Support the partners and encourage them to fix as much as possible the punches on site when feasible being not afraid to make long days
- Act as a role model for Safety on site. Safety equipment to be used in all cases.
- Highlight to Management any deviations related to Safety on site.
- Train, coach and secure hands on with tools and process agreed with our partners.
Experience:
- Master degree or equivalent by experience
- Minimum 5 years of Site Engineering/ Site quality Audits on Network Roll Out Deployment
- Excellent knowledge of telecom operator business network requirements.
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of telecom vendor products and services
- Customer oriented
- Excellent comprehension & experience in Site Construction process & flow
- Good comprehension & experience in Site audits process & flow.
- Excellent knowledge of Site design rules and guidelines
