FPG is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join one of the largest and most respected engineering consultancies in the industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead high-profile electrical engineering projects in the heart of London, working on innovative data centre environments.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead electrical engineering efforts on large-scale data centre projects, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.

  • Effectively communicate complex technical information to a wide range of stakeholders, including clients and colleagues across various disciplines.

  • Verify and review design work completed by other engineers, providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members and project coordinators.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet both client specifications and industry standards.

  • Lead investigations and implementation of electrical safety protocols, including SCCAF (Short Circuit Current Analysis and Fault) studies.

  • Manage and oversee prefabrication, modular construction, and manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality in project execution.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in data centre infrastructure.

  • Extensive expertise in electrical design, including utility substations (HV), power distribution systems (MV & LV), UPS, and backup power systems.

  • Proven knowledge of electrical safety standards and protocols, with experience in SCCAF investigations.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data centre electrical systems within set deadlines and budgets.

  • Experience with prefabrication and modular building processes is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior engineers.
