Our client is a global engineering, design, and construction firm specialising in delivering complex infrastructure projects across mission-critical areas, including cutting-edge data centres. 

With a strong presence across Europe, they provide end-to-end solutions that integrate planning, engineering, and construction management to meet the evolving needs of mission-critical industries. The firm's work across EMEA, Americas and APAC regions, focuses on designing and building high-performance data centres that support the growing demands of cloud computing and digital infrastructure.


By leveraging deep technical expertise and a collaborative approach, they ensure efficient, scalable, and sustainable project delivery for their clients. As a result of their growth, they are now looking for an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager, to lead project execution on large-scale, mission critical construction projects, from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and overall project success.


You will be responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost management, contract administration, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project plans, adjusting schedules as needed to meet objectives.
  • Project Monitoring: Oversee project progress, conduct regular status meetings, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and financial efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality standards, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project records and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract compliance, manage disputes, and evaluate contractor performance.
  • Health & Safety: Promote a strong safety culture, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, Building Science, or Construction Technology
  • 10+ years of professional experience in construction project management with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, scheduling, contract negotiation, and risk management
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing contractors, and working with construction engineers
  • Thorough knowledge of legal, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in construction software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM
  • Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, and JCT contracts and compliance with OSHA safety regulations
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building standards (LEED, BREEAM, WELL certification) is highly desirable
  • Experience with international construction projects is a strong advantage
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills to handle complex projects
  • Logical decision-making ability to solve problems in high-pressure environments
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages such as Dutch, French, German, etc. are highly desirable
