Responsibilities:
Assist in managing Information Technology and computer systems
- Responsible for providing technical support, advice and guidance for internal/external users of IT systems and applications, either directly or by telephone, e-mail or other network interaction.
- Responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems and networks in order to achieve the highest functionality and optimize the role of technology.
- Assist in managing the computer system’s budgets and expenditures
Ensure Technology is accessible and equipped with up to date (hardware and software)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network communication systems
- Be up to date with all Company hardware and software updates and functionality
- Be up to date with Company network and communication system
- Provide recommendations on improvements to information and communication technologies
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Help ensure that all the critical Systems, Processes and Data are backed up
- Ensure that backup solutions are configured and are up to date
- Ensure that the backup solutions are managed and maintained to not lose any data in any event
- Ensure that Disaster Management plans and procedures are in place
- Test the Backup integrity and disaster management plan on a quarterly basis to ensure that the data integrity is up to expectations.
- Make recommendations on sourcing and purchasing of new backup technology resources
- Manage Data access to all staff
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with data management and general hardware and software support.
- Grade 12
- CompTIA A+ Certification (advantageous)
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Degree or Diploma in an ICT related field
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (advantageous)
- MCSA Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate Qualification
- CCNA certified / Fortinet NSE4 - 7 (advantageous)
