As an HSE Officer - (UAEN) at our client office, your primary responsibility is to ensure a secure working environment and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by leveraging your expertise in safety protocols and regulations. Detailed responsibilities are as follows:
- Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and protocols.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees.
- Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Maintaining safety documentation and records.
- Collaborating with management to develop and improve safety policies and procedures.
- Keeping abreast of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the marine industry.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
- Knowledge of maritime safety standards and practices is advantageous.
