Fortinet Security Expert
We are seeking an experienced Security Expert with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Fortinet technologies.
This will be a 3 month extendable contract to supply fully remote services to a major project in the Middle East for a well known end customer.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and securing data center operations, VPNs, firewalls, and advanced security solutions to protect our infrastructure and critical assets. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the highest level of security, performance, and compliance across our network and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and maintain Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Remote Access Firewalls (FW), and OAM Firewalls from Fortinet to secure data centers and remote networks.
- Implement and manage FortiClient VPN Agent with Endpoint Management Server (EMS) for secure remote connectivity.
- Manage FortiAuth with FortiToken for multi-factor authentication to enhance user access security.
- Deploy and manage FortiWeb for advanced web application security and protection against web-based threats.
- Use FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized management and detailed reporting on Fortinet solutions.
- Deploy and maintain FortiNAC (Network Access Control) to secure network access and enforce policies across devices.
- Implement and manage FortiNDR for network detection and response, ensuring quick identification and remediation of threats.
- Oversee FortiSIEM (Security Information and Event Management) for real-time monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
- Administer DNS security services from F5 to protect against DNS-based threats.
- Manage Signaling Firewalls from Telesys to ensure secure communication signaling across networks.
- Utilize Risk Management Tools from Optimas and NEC to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the IT environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiClient, FortiWeb, FortiAuth, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiNAC, FortiNDR, and FortiSIEM.
- Expertise in firewall management, VPN solutions, and multi-factor authentication implementations.
- Familiarity with DNS security solutions from F5 and signaling firewalls from Telesys.
- Experience with risk management tools from Optimas and NEC.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, threat detection, and response strategies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in IT security with a focus on Fortinet products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
