Our client is a leading developer and operator in Data Center market working closely with hyperscalers across Asia: China, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan. They are currently seeking for a HSE Manager for their expansion in Malaysia. As a Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be in charge of developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The successful candidate will be strong in critical incidents management with a keen passion for driving HSE culture. This role is critical in ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the construction project.


Responsibilities

  • HSE Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs and policies tailored to data center construction activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company standards and policies.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Training: Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure all personnel are knowledgeable about safety protocols and procedures.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with HSE standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and advanced degree in project management, construction management, civil engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering (or a related field).
  • 5 years+ experience in construction scheduling, preferably with a focus on data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
  • Proven track record of successful mission critical facility project delivery.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
