Purpose of the role:
The Director of DevOps team is responsible for overseeing the DevOps and IT infrastructure team of the company's products and services. The role requires technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive innovation and growth.
Working location: Hong Kong/Taiwan/Singapore
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise personnel, appraise performance, coach, mentor, and manage the activities and tasks of the team.
- Lead the deployment of company's products and solutions, ensuring they are integrated smoothly with customer's existing systems and infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and infrastructure, adhering to industry standard
- Stay current with new technology developments and advise management on current trends and future directions in infrastructure technology and compliance requirements.
- Keep effective communication with executive management, i staff and other departments to ensure that strategic business initiatives are addressed.
Requirements
- Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and DevOps, with at least 3 years in leadership role.
- Proven experience in Linux system administration, including experience with high availability, cloud computing, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience in installing and monitoring Kubernetes clusters, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Experience in Azure, AWs and GCP Kubernetes, SOL Database and object storage systemdeployment and troubleshooting.
- Implement security measures, manage system and network policies, and ensure compliance withsecurity standards.
- Knowledge of sOL databases, basic coding skills in languages such as Shell, Python, Node.jsGolang and experience with microservices architectures are desirable.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, with a focus on staff development and talent management.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate with clients and the team in Mandarin and Cantonese
