Data Centre procurement Manager
Location: Singapore
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to identify and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers, ensuring a diverse pool with at least two pre-qualified suppliers per product or service.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through efficient sourcing strategies and negotiations.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Provide prompt costing support with cost and timeline estimates to Sales Engineering for potential customer requirements.
- Forecast procurement needs and coordinate with Country Operations and Sales Engineering to plan and prioritize purchases.
- Collaborate with Country Operations to ensure timely procurement of materials and services to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor and review costs post-provisioning to ensure they remain within 15% of initial estimates.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Mitigate procurement risks while maintaining high standards of integrity and ethics.
- Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to senior management.
- Track procurement performance and efficiency through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health and safety, information security management, environmental management systems, and incident management, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
The Successful Candidate:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Has proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the construction or data center support industry.
- Possesses strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing methods, and vendor management.
- Demonstrates excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Can work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Is proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exhibits strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Shows strong leadership and team management skills.
- Has an analytical mindset with attention to detail.
